We are still in Cairo, Egypt. After establishing our base/ambush point, I settle down to watch the cameras set up all around the perimeter of the house. Since Apep's people had no trouble finding us in our hotel, it was only a matter of time before they found us in our house. As predicted, Apep minions in scarves pull up to the front yard in a large van. Although I should have been prepared for this eventuality, given what happened in the club, it still came as a shock when Apep's humans flung bodies into our front yard. After hitting the ground, the bodies began to discharge snakes from every open orifice.
It is as the van is pulling away from the house that Caesar decides he is going to give chase in our rented SUV. Storm then proceeds to soak the front yard in some flammable liquid, and set the whole thing on fire, effectively consuming all the snakes and bodies. While waiting for the flames to die down, my head set divulges Caesar's colorful comments while he enlightens us as to his situation in the SUV. It seems that he was able to eliminate all of the minions that were in the van.
Since Caesar had done such a devastatingly excellent job at destroying our enemies, we had no minions left to lead us to the headquarters of Apep's operations. So, Sam obligingly used one of his supernatural perception abilities to find their center of operations. Night clubs seem to once again be the venue of choose as Apep's people were stationed at an abandoned night club in an unsavory part of Cairo.
After some remarkable scouting done by Carina, we find out two important pieces of information about Apep's organization: (1) they do not know if our group or Julian's group has the necklace, and (2) Julian's group has headed south into the desert.
Through an extraordinary use of skill and otherworldly powers, our group was able to not only defeat all of Apep's followers, but also finally kill the woman/huge snake monster who mercilessly turned all those victims into snake conduits. I hope to never see her like again on this side of the ever after.
