Journal Log #10

As we left the headquarters of Apep's followers, we were pursued by gun-wielding minions as well as mummies. Everyone except for Caesar got into our car and we drive back to the house. Caesar acts a distraction for our escape, which works perfectly, and meets up with us at the house.

Unexpectedly, a giant thunder storm appears far to the south in the middle of the desert. Sam says he can see what looks like Set's eye in the storm. It is a known fact that rain water causes snakes in the sand to come to the surface. Hence, Apep's people must have found a piece of the snake in the desert and have called up this huge storm to bring the huge snake to the surface.

Hence, we drive into the desert to meet the creature when he appears on the surface. We kill many things, which can only be described as "snake men" - bodies of humans, but with the head of a snake, very similar to Egyptian hieroglyphics. Finally, we meet up with Julian's band of Scions, which now include a son of Damballa. As we stand next to a large circle of summoning stones, we watch and wait as the sky pours water from above and part of Apep begins to rise.

When the snake comes out of the ground, a mine that had been planted on the spot goes off and causes a large amount of damage to the thing's head. After Apep is fully out of the sand, I use my power to cause the water in the wet sand to turn to ice. This stops the creature from being able to borrow back into the ground to get away from us.

After a long battle, we eventually kill this piece of Apep and Caesar takes out its heart. He did a really good job in the fight, so no one contested him for it. We also collected venom from its venom sacks, which works as an antidote to most titan spawn snake poison.
