This is a character I made up. The pictures on this site are the images I choose to represent what my character looks like. What I have written here has nothing to do with the actual living person, who these are pictures of. If you are interested in the real film actress please go here. If not, please enjoy this page.

Annabelle was born and raised on a plantation in the South. She lived with her parents and two older sisters. She and her sisters were unwed, which is why they were still living at home, although her sisters had a couple of suitors they were looking at. The family had many black servants (previously slaves until the war), including a mother and her three daughters from Egypt who worked in the house. Annabelle thought that she and her family treated the servants fairly, and there were no complaints about their wages or anything else. However, Annabelle found out one night that Rufus, a large black man who worked out in the corn and cotton fields, hated her and her family enough to kill them...
I should also mention that Annabelle has one "unlady like" addiction: gambling. She loves the thrill and excitement of the game, and she is good enough at it that she usually makes a profit. Annabelle would dress in men's clothes and go gambling late at night while her family slept. On the night of the disaster, she was out gambling and made quite a tidy sum in winnings. She saw the light from the fire, and came running toward the house as quickly as she could. There was screaming coming from inside the burning house, and Annabelle rushed in to find who ever it was. It was one of the Egyptian girls, who was panicking. Annabelle grabbed her and dragged her outside to safety. However, while she was comforting the crying girl, Rufus found her. Rufus beat Annabelle bloody, but then he suddenly stopped and got a look in his eye as if he had an idea. He then picked her up and carried her to the family cemetery. He opened the large mausoleum that stood in the middle, and thrust her inside. In the dark, he bit Annabelle's neck and drained her life away...
The next night came, and Annabelle was surprised to find that she was still alive-or at least it seemed she was alive and could see in the dark of the mausoleum. Rufus was there when she awoke, and he explained to her that she was a vampire now, just like him. He also told her that she was now one of his first vampire "brides," and tried to touch her. Unfortunately for Rufus, Annabelle has a very strong spirit, and she fought against the supernatural bond between them. Rufus had carelessly left his large dirk, which was still bloody from the night before, on one of the mausoleum's shelves. Annabelle took the dirk and carved out Rufus' heart like she did every Christmas with their chickens. Cutting it into a dozen pieces, she wept alone in the dark. Finally, Annabelle pulled herself together and left the cemetery to see what had happened to her family.
Her house had burned to the ground. The locals were able to stop the fire from spreading beyond the house, and saved the crops and servants quarters from ruin. At the site, Annabelle met the Egyptians, and the mother thanked her for saving her daughter from the fire. The servants informed her of how Rufus had stabbed her parents and sisters to death before setting the house on fire. They thought she had died too, until she came in and saved the youngest daughter. In gratitude for her daughter's life, the mother pledged to serve Annabelle as best she could.
Annabelle has agreed to work for Mr. Krane. The money she will be earning will go toward rebuilding her family's house. The Egyptian mother is taking care of the land and running the estate in Annabelle's absence-the locals still think that Annabelle is human; hence, she still owns the property. The three Egyptian sisters are Annabelle's blood donors and tend to all of her needs. And she sleeps in a carriage with thick black curtains during the day.
Annabelle's other motivation for leaving the estate is to find out who or what vampire created Rufus, and why. Whoever it was, obviously wanted her family dead-and is probably still after her.
